Thank you for taking the time to read this, our story. We are a 3 person patchwork family, myself, my partner and 8 year old daughter. My partner has spent many months in hospital following an injury leaving him as an amputee. I have been living with my mum during this time caring for her after she had life major surgery. Since his release from medical care last year we have been looking for a rental having sold the home to save on costs having a child and a part time job as well as caring between the two etc. It's been 9 months now and we have been ignored and overlooked repeatedly. We have been very upfront and honest and proved our affordability and ample savings. Living in a caravan with a small dog as well has been a big strain. We can't afford to go back down the route of buying and we need our savings to live comfortably through my partner's partial retirement.

- Ideally a bungalow, as my partner has a prosthetic leg and would rather be comfortable without needing to wear it at home; we can manage a house or dormer if in the right area - School catchment: St Columb Major Academy - Newquay or close to - Ideally near a body of water - Garden of some sort essential - Garage or outbuilding

Daddy's breakfast, a drive round for a different dog walking/picnic/fishing spot, then home to relax and unwind before cooking tea together and watching rubbish TV.

We are a close little family who love our Newquay home. Whilst neither of us are native to Cornwall we have both been here since the turn of the millennium and feel that makes us such! We love fishing, cooking, making things and much more. We like to build our home around us, we could make any house a home! We enjoy a peaceful life with not too much stress. I am a very clean and tidy person so I like to have the space to put things away (I hate piles or boxes of things). I originated in the animal care industry so animals are very close to my heart, birds will be fed regularly and any other wildlife looked after! My daughter loves everything from football (Forest forever!) and fishing to video games and homework! My partner is a life-long fisherman and loves anything outdoor.

I now work for a supermarket and my partner is a self-employed labourer who is partially retired due to his injury.

Myself and my partner met as he was in hospital at the same time as my mum. We kept seeing him out in the sunshine when I would take her out and he looked sad, so I started chatting. He told me his story and he was going through a difficult time. One day, before mum was discharged, I wrote him a card telling him people care and want to listen, and gave him my number. Two days later he messaged and the rest is history! We would never have crossed paths, yet we literally say the same thing at the same time several times a day, we are that in sync. He has saved myself and, in turn, my daughter from a miserable existence due to our circumstances at the time, and we saved him. He brings out confidence in my daughter I never thought I'd see.
