I wish to find a calm home to share with my assistance dog and emotional support cat. I love quirky and quaint and all that is different, fun and free. A bath would be delightful, as I do love to have some downtime with a book in there.

- Near a bus route - Within walking distance of a village/shop and post office - Near nature for Roxy dog, or accessible by bus (within approx. 30 minutes) - 1 bedroom - An area to sit and eat food, such as a breakfast bar or a place for a table (no lap eating)

A slow start with the animals, followed by some breakfast with the door or window open so I can hear nature. A warm cup of tea in hand and a pen and paper ready to make a list of things to do that day. A gentle walk with woman's best friend and assistance hero Roxy dog, maybe accompanied by one of our favourite human friends.

I am a creative and quirky 43 year old. I've lived in my own home until now, this will be my first rental. I am a researcher, so I love books, online studying and surrounding myself with historic photos, maps and antique or unusual items. I love crystal ornaments and loud colours, and I enjoy Celtic or folk style music as well as other genres that offer something a little different. I study local areas for culture and history purposes and have a deep love for hunting family history. I paint, sketch, draw and make various plaques for individuals or the home. I am used to keeping a clean and fresh home for my animals, and I love to make my home an extension of my personality and bring some life and happiness within the walls that surround me. I enjoy linking into community events and social organisations to connect with people. Family history, genealogy (yes, they're different!), local history, building research, archaeology books and programmes educating me about the history of the land I live on. Painting, drawing, making trinkets with air-drying clay, jewellery making, canvas painting, board games and walks in nature.

I went on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to India to explore Rajasthan with a friend. Our driver was late, so I went to find some shade across the street while my friend liaised with her contacts to make sure we were still being collected. I was sat minding my own business when I saw one of India's sacred cows sauntering across the road. I thought nothing of it, as it's a regular sight in India, cows are worshipped there. The cow seemed to pick up speed as it neared, so I stood up from my perch on the wall. That was when I saw its head dip down suddenly, and it began to charge towards me for the last few paces, curly horns heading right for my abdomen. I closed my eyes and hoped for some miracle to save me! Thud! The cow's horns scraped against the wall behind me. I opened my eyes to see it had backed away, only to come back for a second attempt! Thud! It was reversing for a third attempt! Luckily a local came running towards me with a small broom to shoo her off, since cows can't be hit or hurt, given how they're seen and worshipped as sacred there. The cow chased me in between two tuk-tuks and around a moped while the lovely local went off to get some food to distract it. Thankfully he managed to grab its attention long enough for me to scarper and make it back in time for our driver to herd me onboard, ready for the next adventure, which I'm glad to say was far less threatening and much less pointy!
