We're a family of three (our son is away at Exeter uni) looking for a 2 or 3 bedroom house with a garden or patio in the immediate Totnes area. We have one very well-behaved cat, Lily, who's a total couch potato.

- Must be walkable to the train station - Garden or access to outdoor space

A peaceful morning with a nice cup of coffee, sat with our cat outside, followed by a walk into town for a doughnut (or three). Then a drive to Bantham for a hop in the sea or a surf.

Outdoor life, surfing, walks. Cooking, eating good local food, and a pint of ale in the evening.

We own a linen clothing company.

After living in California for several years, I was back in the UK for work and had to drive some work acquaintances to a few rural locations, which meant navigating narrow country lanes and a lot of reversing. One of them turned to me and said, "Yes, you're a Devon girl alright!" Still the best compliment I've had.
